The ideal candidate will provide expert legal advice and representation in all areas of immigration law, including but not limited to visas, citizenship, asylum, and deportation defense. They will be responsible for preparing and filing immigration applications, petitions, and supporting documentation, as well as representing clients in hearings before immigration tribunals and courts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert legal advice and representation in all areas of immigration law.
- Prepare and file immigration applications, petitions, and supporting documentation.
- Represent clients in hearings before immigration tribunals and courts.
- Stay up to date with changes in immigration laws and policies.
- Conduct legal research and draft legal documents.
- Communicate effectively with clients, keeping them informed about their cases and managing their expectations.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to a positive team environment.
Qualifications:
- Qualified solicitor with a valid practice certificate.
- Minimum of 3 years experience within immigration law.
- Strong knowledge of immigration regulations and procedures.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload and work under pressure.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in legal research and use of legal databases.
- Commitment to providing high-quality client service.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience working with vulnerable clients.
- Familiarity with immigration law software and case management systems.
The salary for this position is between £45,000 and £60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
