We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our team at Devon Partnership NHS Trust. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality psychological care to children and young people experiencing significant and complex mental health difficulties and their families.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive team, providing assessments and therapy to children with severe, chronic, and enduring mental health concerns. You will have the opportunity to work with children, young people, and families to understand their experiences and presenting concerns in order to provide an appropriate evidence-based intervention.
You will be expected to work collaboratively with other professionals, including Clinical Psychology, Systemic Psychotherapists, Child and Adolescent Psychotherapists, CBT Therapists, Psychiatrists, Speech and Language Therapists, and Mental Health Practitioners from a range of backgrounds.
Key Responsibilities- Providing high-quality psychological assessments and interventions to children and young people with complex mental health needs.
- Working collaboratively with other professionals to provide a comprehensive service to children and young people and their families.
- Developing and implementing evidence-based interventions to support children and young people with complex mental health needs.
- Providing clinical supervision and training to other professionals.
- Contributing to the development of the service and the implementation of new initiatives.
- A Professional Doctorate in Clinical Psychology or equivalent.
- Post qualification specialist therapy/assessment training relevant to children and young people.
- Post qualification training or proven equivalent experience in supervision.
- Experience of working with a range of children and young people with complex needs.
- Experience of undertaking specialist psychological assessments and providing evidence-based interventions.
- Experience of providing teaching and training.
- Experience of safeguarding children and ensuring the safety of young people in partnership with other agencies.
- Experience that evidences an ability to attend to diversity and work in a way that promotes anti-discriminatory practice.
