We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our team in the Mood Emotions and Relationships (MERS) Pathway in South Devon & Torbay.
About the RoleAs a Clinical Psychologist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality psychological care to children and young people experiencing significant and complex mental health difficulties and their families.
You will work closely with a multi-disciplinary team, including Clinical Psychology, Systemic Psychotherapists, Child and Adolescent Psychotherapists, CBT Therapists, Psychiatrists, Speech and Language Therapists, and Mental Health Practitioners from various backgrounds.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct assessments and provide evidence-based interventions for children and young people with severe, chronic, and enduring mental health concerns.
- Work collaboratively with children, young people, parents, carers, and families to understand their experiences and presenting concerns.
- Provide consultation, clinical supervision, and training to colleagues.
- Contribute to quality improvement and service development through clinical leadership skills.
- A Professional Doctorate in Clinical Psychology or equivalent qualification.
- Post-qualification specialist therapy/assessment training relevant to children and young people.
- Experience of working with complex needs, maintaining professionalism in the face of highly emotive and distressing problems.
- Ability to work with a range of children and young people, including those with learning disabilities.
- Experience of safeguarding children and ensuring their safety in partnership with other agencies.
