Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of manufacturing engineers in the creation of work instructions and technical documentation to support the manufacture of detail components and assemblies.
  • Develop and implement manufacturing processes and procedures to ensure efficient and effective production.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to manufacturing personnel to ensure compliance with company standards and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including work instructions, bills of material, and technical specifications.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with company standards and procedures.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and services.
  • Provide input to the development of company policies and procedures related to manufacturing and quality.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of manufacturing processes.

Requirements:

  • Education: HNC or equivalent in an engineering discipline, or relevant experience.
  • Experience: 5 years post-training experience in manufacturing engineering, with a focus on sheet metal detail parts and mechanical assemblies.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and motivate others.
  • Knowledge: Good working knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures, including sheet metal detail parts, metallic machining, and mechanical assemblies.
  • Tools and Processes: Familiarity with CATIA (V4 & V5) and ENOVIA, and experience with SAP (ECC6) and the modules applicable to manufacturing engineering and quality functions.
