As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective production of high-quality products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of manufacturing engineers in the creation of work instructions and technical documentation to support the manufacture of detail components and assemblies.
- Develop and implement manufacturing processes and procedures to ensure efficient and effective production.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements.
- Provide technical support and guidance to manufacturing personnel to ensure compliance with company standards and procedures.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including work instructions, bills of material, and technical specifications.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with company standards and procedures.
- Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and services.
- Provide input to the development of company policies and procedures related to manufacturing and quality.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of manufacturing processes.
Requirements:
- Education: HNC or equivalent in an engineering discipline, or relevant experience.
- Experience: 5 years post-training experience in manufacturing engineering, with a focus on sheet metal detail parts and mechanical assemblies.
- Skills: Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and motivate others.
- Knowledge: Good working knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures, including sheet metal detail parts, metallic machining, and mechanical assemblies.
- Tools and Processes: Familiarity with CATIA (V4 & V5) and ENOVIA, and experience with SAP (ECC6) and the modules applicable to manufacturing engineering and quality functions.
