At The Fleet Hotel, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Night Porter to join our team. As a Night Porter, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel during the evening hours.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist the Night Manager in meeting guest requests and creating a pleasant stay for our guests.
- Report to the Operations Manager, Night Manager, Night Auditor, and Duty Managers.
- Ensure operations are carried out in line with department and hotel standards while providing quality service to guests.
- Anticipate guests' needs to enhance quality service and guest satisfaction.
- Carry out departmental standards in accordance with the SOP Manual.
- Maintain the highest possible standard of personal hygiene, dress, appearance, body language, and conduct.
- Be familiar with and adhere to all rules and regulations of the hotel, including fire procedures, health and safety at work, and security regulations.
- Assist with the Night Audit and serving in the Food & Beverage department.
- Clean and maintain all public areas, public toilets, bars, and any ad hoc cleaning for the next business day.
- Ensure the security of cash, stock, and equipment and carry out all agreed departmental/Hotel procedures.
- Responsible for overall health & safety at night, including fire walks, security checks, and any other relevant health & safety duties.
- Front Office duties, including running the night audit report and check-in and check-out of guests.
- Managing the team of Night Porters and their nightly tasks.
- Food & Beverage service at night.
- Handle guest queries and complaints as they arise.
- Complete early and late handovers with Duty Managers when on shift.
- Carry out any ad hoc duties as directed by the Night Manager, Operations Manager.
- At least 1 year's experience as a Night Porter in a 4-star hotel setting.
