At The Fleet Hotel, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Night Porter to join our team. As a Night Porter, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel during the evening hours.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist the Night Manager in meeting the needs of our guests, providing a warm and welcoming experience.
- Ensure all operations are carried out in line with hotel standards, while maintaining a high level of quality service.
- Anticipate guests' needs and take proactive steps to enhance their stay.
- Carry out departmental standards in accordance with the SOP Manual.
- Maintain the highest possible standard of personal hygiene, dress, and conduct at all times.
- Report any accidents or incidents to the relevant personnel and provide assistance as needed.
- Be familiar with and adhere to all hotel rules and regulations, including fire procedures, health and safety, and security regulations.
- Assist with the Night Audit and serve in the Food & Beverage department.
- Complete room service and clean and maintain all public areas, public toilets, bars, and any ad hoc cleaning for the next business day.
- Ensure the security of cash, stock, and equipment, and carry out all agreed departmental/Hotel procedures.
- Be responsible for overall health and safety at night, including fire walks, security checks, and any other relevant health and safety duties.
- Perform front office duties, including running the night audit report and check-in and check-out of guests.
- Manage the team of Night Porters and their nightly tasks.
- Provide exceptional customer service and handle guest queries and complaints as they arise.
- Complete early and late handovers with Duty Managers when on shift.
- Carry out any ad hoc duties as directed by the Night Manager or Operations Manager.
- At least 1 year's experience as a Night Porter in a 4-star hotel setting.
- Excellent customer service skills and a warm, welcoming demeanor.
- Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of quality and hygiene.
