Madisons Recruitment is seeking an experienced Assistant Buyer to join our team in London. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing goods and services to meet the needs of our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Procurement and scheduling of products, materials, plant, and equipment
  • Ensuring purchases offer best value
  • Monitoring and reporting of price increases, updating internal spreadsheets
  • Tracking orders and proactively addressing any failed or late deliveries
  • Maintaining and developing the supply chain
  • Identification of new products
  • Processing of purchase ledger records

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years Purchasing experience in the construction industry - ideally having a sales background
  • Building merchant experience highly desirable
  • Experience and/or education in procurement and inventory management
  • Working knowledge of computer programs for word processing, email, and spreadsheets
