YOUR IMPACT

A position has opened within Global Tax for a tax professional to provide guidance to the firm's front office, focusing primarily on the alternative investments sector within Goldman Sachs Asset Management. Goldman Sachs stands as a premier investor in alternative assets worldwide, managing over $450 billion in investments and boasting more than three decades of expertise. This role will involve considerable engagement with various stakeholders in the business and the Global Tax team, necessitating robust transaction management capabilities. Primary Responsibilities

  • Advising the Goldman Sachs Asset Management teams on tax implications associated with alternative investment funds and transactions.
  • Collaborating with and critically assessing input from external advisors.
  • Coordinating with other tax professionals within the firm, particularly those based in the US.

Required Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

  • Professionally qualified – Lawyer or ACA/CTA.
  • At least 2 years of post-qualification tax experience at a reputable firm.
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK tax regulations.
  • Experience with cross-border transactions and structuring, including familiarity with tax systems in other European countries and the USA (US experience preferred but not mandatory).
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence senior business stakeholders and make informed decisions.
  • Adaptable and quick to learn.
  • Highly motivated team player capable of thriving in a fast-paced setting.
