Position Overview

As a Solutions Architect, your role will be to deliver technical oversight and assurance, ensuring our solutions are effectively transitioned into operational service for our diverse range of products across our customer base. You will be part of a dedicated team deploying NEC Software Solutions (NEC SWS) across various locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute build, commissioning, and upgrade tasks for NEC SWS DSX (ICCS), Vision & ControlWorks (CAD) product offerings.
  • Resolve technical issues related to the NEC SWS product suite at both hardware and software levels.
  • When necessary, create, review, and update engineering documentation, including work plans, instructions, and technical guides.
  • Present technical solutions to both internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Provide technical assurance across multiple projects through gated review meetings and interactions with stakeholders, including technical sales, support, and engineering teams.
  • Occasionally evaluate new product hardware and software in line with the product roadmap.
  • Engage in extensive customer interactions, requiring a professional and adaptable communication style.
  • Work autonomously while maintaining high standards of personal time and task management.
  • Complete all tasks within established deadlines and report any challenges in meeting delivery milestones.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and approach in all work activities.

Qualifications:

Who are you?

  • Ideally possess HND/HNC qualifications or relevant industry experience with several years in a similar role.
  • Experience in IT-focused server and client environments.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting and problem-solving.
  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Windows client and server architecture (Windows 10, Server 2019 and beyond), primarily using DELL/HP hardware.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Active Directory and domain architecture.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Familiarity with design and documentation tools such as MS Visio, along with proficiency in MS applications including Excel and Word.
  • High standard of written communication.
  • Proven experience in deploying Microsoft Windows and server operating systems.
  • Working knowledge of MySQL/MSSQL (including backups and queries).
  • Experience with virtualization environments (Hyper-V or VMware).
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Proven experience adhering to ITIL best practices.
