About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our Adult Education team at Warwickshire County Council. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting adults with learning disabilities and/or learning difficulties in our county-wide programme.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work under the direction of a tutor in a range of classes, providing individualized support to students with learning disabilities and/or learning difficulties.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with students, tutors, and other stakeholders to ensure a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized learning plans, ensuring that students' needs are met and their goals are achieved.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to identify and address any barriers to learning, promoting a culture of inclusivity and respect.
Requirements
  • Experience of working with adults with learning disabilities and/or learning difficulties, with a strong understanding of their needs and challenges.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, tutors, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing circumstances, prioritizing the needs of students and the team.
