About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Highway Quality Inspector to join our team at Ringway Jacobs. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of highway works associated with approved planning consents, ensuring compliance with planning obligations and County Council policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake site-based quality inspection relative to new road construction and alterations to the existing highway to validate its compliance with the approved drawings/specification, best practice, and programme.
  • Prepare and assist in the management and monitoring of works programmes or services.
  • Provide timely and accurate advice to County Councillors, District Members, Parish Councils, and the general public on all highway-related matters, as required.
  • Produce weekly detailed reports and identify remedials and non-compliance to drawings as works proceed.
  • Check all Traffic Management layouts and provide expert advice on construction methods to minimize impact on the network in liaison with the NRSWA Team.

About You

We are looking for a candidate with a proven track record in construction on a wide range of schemes, with a strong understanding of construction materials and methods. You should have a HNC or equivalent qualification, or experience in construction, and knowledge of Health and Safety legislation as it pertains to highway works.
