About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our Mental Health Support Team (MHST) as a Team Lead. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive team, providing specialist mental health services to children and adolescents in Mid Essex.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide operational and clinical leadership within the MHST, ensuring the team meets operational and clinical targets.
  • Line manage clinical staff, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality services.
  • Develop and maintain a positive and supportive team culture, promoting the core functions of MHST and IAPT principles.
  • Facilitate the development of service delivery, protocols, and guidelines, working closely with other teams and stakeholders.
  • Participate in the audit process, contributing to the clinical governance agenda and ensuring the delivery of evidence-based services.
  • Advise, encourage, and share knowledge with colleagues, utilizing the latest research and practice development.
Requirements
  • Successful completion of a graduate training program with registration from a professional body (HCPC, NMC).
  • Experience of working with children and adolescents with mental health or learning disabilities, providing specialist interventions.
  • Experience in delivering evidence-based interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.
  • Knowledge of legislation related to children and adolescents, safeguarding procedures, and risk management.
