As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering clinically led, person-centred services to ensure patients across Lothian receive the best from their medicines and pharmacy services.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to work across surgical, women and children, medical and ophthalmic services, providing specialist pharmacy support to patients and healthcare professionals. You will be responsible for developing and implementing pharmacy services, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and contributing to the development of our pharmacy team.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement pharmacy services to meet the needs of patients and healthcare professionals
- Provide specialist pharmacy support to patients and healthcare professionals across surgical, women and children, medical and ophthalmic services
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) standards
- Contribute to the development of our pharmacy team, including mentoring and training junior pharmacists
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care for patients
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Master of Pharmacy Degree or equivalent, be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC), and have completed or have equivalent competence as mapped to the Post Registration Foundation Pharmacist Framework. Being qualified as an independent prescriber would be desirable, although training opportunities are available for post-graduate study.
