Job Title: Teaching Assistant (Primary)

Job Summary:

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team of professionals in Scarborough. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and providing individualized support to students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering lessons, ensuring a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students, helping them to overcome challenges and achieve their full potential.
  • Contribute to the preparation and organization of resources, ensuring a smooth and efficient learning experience.
  • Support the social and emotional development of students, promoting a culture of respect and empathy.
  • Collaborate with the teaching team to develop and implement effective strategies for supporting students with diverse needs.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a related role is desirable.
  • A relevant qualification in Education or Childcare is an advantage.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • A genuine passion for working with children in a primary school setting, with a commitment to delivering high-quality education.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to meeting the needs of the school.
  • A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies and procedures.
  • Possess an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to have one processed immediately.
