Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and dynamic individual to provide support to students in a secondary school setting. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher to deliver a creative curriculum, outdoor curriculum, or play-based learning curriculum.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, reinforcing learning objectives and promoting independent thinking.
  • Support the class teacher in the delivery of a curriculum that caters to diverse learning needs.
  • Work in partnership with other support staff, teachers, and outside agencies to ensure each child receives the best education and support.
  • Track progress and developmental markers.
  • Foster a positive and respectful classroom atmosphere that encourages active participation and a love for learning.
Requirements
  • Be educated to Degree level or hold a relevant Level 2 qualification or higher in childcare.
  • Have a clear understanding, knowledge, or hands-on experience of supporting people with autism, learning difficulties, social, emotional, and mental health needs or speech, language, and communication needs.
  • Be a flexible, dynamic, and reliable practitioner.
  • Have a genuine desire to work in the education sector.
  • Have a Child Only DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for a new one.
