Pertemps Daventry is seeking an experienced Transport and Logistics Manager to join one of our esteemed clients based in the UK.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in logistics management, including knowledge of best practice techniques and experience in transport compliance. Strong SHECS knowledge and awareness are essential, as well as proven experience in RoRo, skips, artics, and trains.
A Transport Management CPC qualification is mandatory for this role. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the transportation of goods and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize transportation operations
- Manage a team of logistics professionals to ensure efficient and effective transportation of goods
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards
- Monitor and analyze transportation costs and develop strategies to reduce expenses
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless transportation operations
Requirements:
- Proven experience in logistics management, including knowledge of best practice techniques
- Experience in transport compliance, including SHECS knowledge and awareness
- Proven experience in RoRo, skips, artics, and trains
- Transport Management CPC qualification
- Strong leadership and management skills
