We are seeking an experienced Assistant Area Transport Manager to join our team at People Solutions Group. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth delivery of our transportation services.
About the Role:The Assistant Area Transport Manager will be responsible for working closely with our Area Operations Managers and Network Support Managers to ensure that our transportation operations remain effective and compliant with all relevant regulations.
You will work closely with our support functions, including planning, QSHE, fleet, and compliance, to ensure that our standards are upheld and our drivers and crew are well-supported.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating with our customer stores and regional planning team to resolve operational issues and ensure optimum delivery performance.
- Resolving customer complaints in a timely and professional manner.
- Ensuring compliance with drivers' hours regulations and maintaining accurate records.
- Organizing training for drivers and crew as required.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong knowledge of transportation legislation and regulations.
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in the transportation industry.
- Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
- International CPC national holder.
- Experience of cost control and working within budget.
