We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Decontamination Specialist to join our team at QE Facilities. As a key member of our Sterile Services department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective sterilization of medical devices.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and maintain sterilization equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
- Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for decontamination and sterilization processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of decontamination services with other departments.
- Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Provide training and support to colleagues on decontamination and sterilization procedures.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance decontamination services and processes.
- Education to GCSE or equivalent, including Maths and English.
- Experience in decontamination and sterilization processes, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Knowledge of infection control, health and safety, and COSHH regulations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
