We are currently seeking bank senior nurses to join our Unplanned Care Team, which employs a forward-thinking approach to nursing, prioritizing immediate responses to patient needs at home, thereby reducing unnecessary hospital admissions and facilitating timely discharges. In this role, you will perform clinical assessments, support senior clinical staff, mentor junior colleagues, and collaborate with a diverse multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
We are looking for a highly driven individual ready to embrace the challenges of providing care in a home environment within the Unplanned Care team. You will work closely with various professionals in the multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This role requires participation in a rotational schedule as part of a 24/7 service, utilizing advanced technology to deliver prompt and quality care.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical competencies, particularly in palliative care, wound management, catheterization, and catheter care. You should exhibit leadership qualities, guide junior staff, maintain high standards of patient care, and ensure positive experiences for patients.

Qualifications:
Essential:
- Current NMC registration
- Registered General Nurse (RGN) / Registered Nurse (RN) qualifications
Desirable:
- Teaching/Assessor experience in clinical practice
- V100/V300 prescribing qualifications or equivalent
- Postgraduate qualifications
Knowledge and Experience:
Essential:
- Ability to delegate tasks effectively
- Proven management and staff development skills
- Understanding of the District Nursing service
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook
Desirable:
- Previous experience in community healthcare (District Nursing)
- Familiarity with managing patients with chronic conditions
- Knowledge of diabetes care
- Expertise in wound care and leg ulcer management
- Experience with SystmOne
