About the Role

Polar Speed Distribution Ltd is seeking a skilled Transportation Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and accurate delivery of products to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate daily transportation schedules to ensure cost-effective and achievable routes.
  • Optimize the use of personnel and vehicle resources to minimize delays and maximize productivity.
  • Assist with operational calls and provide support to drivers and other teams as needed.
  • Liaise with drivers to ensure timely updates on ETAs and collection point departures.
  • Effectively handover information to Planning, Warehouse, and Transport teams to ensure seamless communication.
  • Respond to email and telephone queries in a professional and concise manner.
  • Produce and distribute reports on a scheduled and ad-hoc basis to support business decision-making.
  • Complete assigned tasks using the planning check sheet and communicate clearly with team members.
Requirements
  • Experience with routing systems (e.g. Paragon) is desired but not essential.
  • Excellent IT skills, including proficiency in MS Office.
  • Good understanding of EU road transport rules and regulations.
  • Excellent administration skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
