Job Title: IT Helpdesk Analyst

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced IT Helpdesk Analyst to join our Shared Services team in Gateshead. As an IT Helpdesk Analyst, you will be responsible for providing first-line support to internal IT issues and queries, troubleshooting problems with laptops, desktops, and mobile devices, and maintaining, updating, and creating administration documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-line support for internal IT issues and queries, taking enquires by phone and email.
  • Troubleshoot issues with laptops, desktops, and mobile devices.
  • Support remote offices with network and IT equipment on site.
  • Maintain, update, and create administration documentation.
  • Use a helpdesk software to log calls with descriptions of issues, progress, and solutions.
  • Manage incoming emails and calls to the IT team.
  • Administer and support IT assets and equipment, including iPads and mobile phones.
  • Support IT projects when required.

Requirements:

  • Strong customer service focus and ability to perform general IT administrative activities.
  • Ability to effectively use Microsoft Office package and databases.
  • Effective communicator with first-class telephone and communication skills.
  • Strong team player with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Problem solver with a logical and structured approach to work.
  • IT qualifications – desirable.
