About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at XXX, a 24-bedded rehabilitation hospital for women in Birmingham. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality psychiatric care to patients with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct pre-admission assessments and contribute to the referral and admission process.
  • Supervise the process of referral and admission, including contribution to the pre-admission assessments of adults.
  • Work collaboratively with a well-established and cohesive multi-disciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to support patients' recovery journeys.
Requirements
  • Experience of working in inpatient settings with people with various mental health difficulties.
  • Experience of working with service users with a forensic history would be advantageous.
  • Prior experience at Consultant level, including the ability to conduct training.
  • Registration with the GMC, including being on the special register for Psychiatry.
