About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Priory Hospital Woodbourne, a leading provider of behavioural care and specialist support services.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Clinical Governance and regulatory frameworks, as well as experience in addiction/substance misuse.

As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for assessing and treating a diverse outpatient population, overseeing the care of inpatients within your specialty, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of therapists and psychologists.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete 2-3 short ward rounds per week to support inpatients
  • Assess and treat outpatients
  • Oversee inpatient care
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
  • Engage in quality improvement and governance activities
  • Expand your practice in alignment with Priory's prestigious reputation
  • Participate in on-call rotations
  • Network with professional colleagues and referral sources
  • Market yourself and your practice in conjunction with Priory

Requirements
  • GMC registration with relevant specialist registration
  • Experience in addiction/substance misuse
  • Strong understanding of Clinical Governance and regulatory frameworks
  • Successful completion of a DBS check, funded by Priory Hospital Woodbourne
