Supervisory Role in Kitchen Extract Cleaning

GMP Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Team Leader to join our team. As a key member of our commercial cleaning team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all areas of the kitchens and equipment are cleaned effectively to the required standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Leadership and Supervision: Work under the team leader as their second in command and ensure that all responsibilities are covered in their absence.
- Cleaning Schedules: Ensure that the weekly cleaning schedule is adhered to and all cleaning records are completed professionally and accurately.
- Health and Safety: Take ownership of Health and Safety for yourself and others at work, ensuring that all areas are cleaned effectively and in accordance with current legal Health and Safety requirements.
- Team Management: Ensure that team members are aware of their responsibilities and maintain a high level of personal hygiene and appearance.
- Client Facing: Represent the company image and maintain excellent relations both internally and externally, responding courteously to customer and management requests.
- Equipment Maintenance: Maintain equipment and materials in a clean and safe working order, ensuring that any necessary warning signs are always in use.
- Chemical Management: Manage and control the use of cleaning chemicals, protective clothing, and hygiene consumables, ensuring that stocks are always maintained.
- Experience: Experience of commercial kitchen cleaning and/or kitchen extract cleaning, with a strong background in deep cleaning kitchens and grease extract skills.
- Leadership Skills: Reliable and hardworking with a professional attitude, able to work to a predetermined schedule and lead and work as part of a team.
- Initiative and Decision Making: Confident in decision making and able to work using their own initiative.
- Travel and Flexibility: Flexible on working times, available to work afternoons, evenings, weekends, and nights, with a commitment to constant travel and occasional overnight stays.
- Driving License: Full clean UK/EU driving license.
- COSHH Knowledge: Knowledge and understanding of COSHH regulations.
