Job Summary:
GMP Recruitment Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Cleaning Team Leader to join their team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all areas of the kitchens and equipment are cleaned effectively to the required standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work under the team leader as their second in command and ensure that all responsibilities are covered in their absence.
- Ensure the weekly cleaning schedule is adhered to and all cleaning records are completed professionally and accurately.
- Take ownership of Health and Safety for yourself and others at work, ensuring that all areas are cleaned effectively and in accordance with current legal Health and Safety requirements.
- Responsible for ensuring that team members are aware of their responsibilities and that client-facing interactions are professional and courteous.
- Report problems and non-conformances to the management team and maintain a high level of personal hygiene and appearance.
- Wear protective clothing where necessary and ensure that any appropriate warning signs are always in use.
- Always observe and comply with site rules and regulations and maintain equipment and materials in a clean and safe working order.
- Respond courteously to customer and management requests and provide feedback and before-and-after photographs of the clean.
- Manage and control the use of cleaning chemicals, protective clothing, and hygiene consumables, ensuring that stocks are always maintained.
- Undertake any other duties requested by the management team.
Requirements:
- Experience of commercial kitchen cleaning and/or kitchen extract cleaning.
- Reliable and hardworking with a professional attitude.
- Ability to work to a predetermined schedule and lead and work as part of a team.
- Confident in decision-making and able to work using their own initiative.
- Supervisory experience and flexible working hours, including evenings, weekends, and occasional nights.
- Full clean UK/EU driving license and knowledge and understanding of COSHH regulations.
