Position Overview: Hays Construction and Property is a prominent agency partner to the HM Prison Service, specializing in the provision of maintenance trades and support personnel. We are currently seeking to engage Site Security Liaison Officers to accompany construction personnel within a secure facility.

Role Duration: This position will initially be temporary, with the potential for candidates to transition into permanent roles or explore other opportunities within the prison service. The expected duration of this role is anticipated to be no less than three years, contingent upon the timely completion of projects by the contractors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in maintaining the safety and security of the facility.
  • Escort contractors and visitors throughout the premises.
  • Perform gate duties, ensuring that all individuals and vehicles are authorized to enter and exit the facility.
  • Monitor the entry of tools and equipment, ensuring that all items brought in are accounted for upon exit.

Candidate Profile: While formal qualifications are not mandatory, candidates must possess a strong sense of security awareness and the ability to identify and address potential risks. Reliability, consistency, and exceptional interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role.

Training and Security Clearance: Comprehensive training will be provided, fully compensated by the organization. A security clearance process will be conducted, which is typically expedited to facilitate a prompt start.

Work Schedule: The working hours for this role are Monday to Thursday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
