The FP&A Manager is essential in enhancing the financial performance of EG On The Move by managing the aggregation of financial reports, maintaining and refining long-term financial models, and collaborating with the head office and brand finance teams to ensure precise and insightful business reporting. This position also entails close cooperation with the Business Intelligence (BI) team to improve and automate our reporting processes. The FP&A Manager will report directly to the Director of FP&A and Commercial Strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting and Analysis:

  • Compile and prepare weekly and monthly financial reports, ensuring accuracy and punctuality.
  • Examine financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for enhancement.
  • Deliver actionable insights and recommendations to senior management based on financial evaluations.

Long-Term Financial Model Management:

  • Oversee and update the long-term financial model to reflect current business dynamics and strategic objectives.
  • Ensure the model facilitates effective decision-making and forecasting for future expansion.
  • Incorporate rolling forecasts into the financial model to provide continuous updates and adjustments based on actual performance and evolving market conditions.

Budget Management and Consolidation:

  • Lead the annual budgeting process, collaborating closely with various departments to gather and validate budget inputs.
  • Consolidate departmental budgets into a comprehensive organizational budget.
  • Monitor and analyze budget performance against actuals, providing regular updates and variance analysis to senior management.
  • Create and maintain budget reports and dashboards to support financial planning and decision-making.

Cash Flow Forecasting:

  • Develop and manage daily cash flow forecasts to ensure effective liquidity management.
  • Analyze cash flow patterns and adjust forecasts based on operational changes and financial trends.

Finance Business Partnering:

  • Serve as the primary finance business partner for head office, delivering comprehensive financial reporting and analysis.
  • Collaborate with brand finance business partners to develop and maintain a unified approach to business reporting.
  • Support strategic initiatives and provide financial insights to enhance business performance.

Reporting and Process Improvement:

  • Work closely with the Business Intelligence team to automate and streamline the consolidation process.
  • Develop and implement best-in-class business reporting practices to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of financial reporting.
  • Continuously assess and improve reporting processes and tools to support business objectives.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Engage with various stakeholders across the organization to gather relevant data and insights for financial analysis.
  • Foster strong relationships with brand finance teams to ensure alignment and consistency in reporting standards.

External Liaison:

  • Communicate with banks and third parties to obtain and incorporate macroeconomic data, such as interest rates and economic forecasts, into financial models.
  • Monitor external economic conditions and assess their potential impact on financial performance and planning.
