We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Band 5 PICU Nurse to join our team at Barts Health. As a key member of our paediatric department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the delivery of excellent healthcare services.
About the Role:- Provide comprehensive nursing care to children and their families, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care programmes.
- Communicate effectively with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Develop and maintain a good general understanding and knowledge base of children's health needs.
- Adhere to organisational policies and demonstrate the Trust's promises, vision, and strategy as a professional registrant.
- Perform various clinical tasks, including taking blood, fitting cannulas, and undertaking patient observations.
- Write care plans, perform assessments, and make referrals as necessary.
- Manage admissions and discharges to and from the ward.
- Be a registered nurse with up-to-date paediatric and adult basic life support.
- Have at least 2 years post-graduate experience and 6 months recent NHS paediatric experience within the last 3 years.
- Pass an enhanced background check.
