Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Specialist Hand Therapist to join our dynamic team at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing expert hand therapy services to patients with complex hand and upper limb injuries.

Main Responsibilities
  • Clinical Leadership: Provide clinical leadership and supervision to junior hand therapy staff, ensuring high-quality patient care and adherence to clinical governance standards.
  • Service Development: Contribute to the development and implementation of hand therapy services, including the design and delivery of education and training programs.
  • Research and Quality Improvement: Participate in research projects and quality improvement initiatives, applying evidence-based practice to improve patient outcomes and service delivery.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients with hand and upper limb conditions.
Requirements
  • Essential Qualifications: BSc Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy (or equivalent), Post-Registration Hand Therapy/Upper Limb MSK CPD, and HCPC Registration.
  • Desirable Qualifications: BAHT Membership, MSc level study in a relevant area, Accredited Hand Therapist, and Post-Registration CPD in splinting or exercise prescription within Hand/Upper Limb.
