Job Title: Construction Multi Skills Lecturer

Location: Cambridge

Salary: £27,000 - £40,369

Contract: Full time, permanent (37 hours per week)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Construction Tutor/Lecturer to join our team at our campus in Salford. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Construction Multi Skills up to Level 3 to students aged over 16+, starting after October half term or sooner.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning, both face-to-face and online, to a timetable that may include evening and non-term times.
  • Undertake tutorial responsibilities, including tracking and reviewing student progress and maintaining student records using Markbook and Promonitor.
  • Assist in the recruitment and admission of new students.
  • Participate in team meetings and course team reviews and evaluation.
Requirements
  • Hold a minimum C&G Level 3 in any construction skill, such as Carpentry, Joinery, or Bricklaying.
  • Taught Multi Skills in the past up to Level 3, either on-site with an apprentice or within a classroom.
  • Holds an Assessors Award (A1, V1, IQA, etc.) is ideal, not essential.
  • Have a relevant UK Teaching Qualification, such as PGCE, Cert Ed, PTLLS, or equivalent, or a willingness to work towards one as the College can provide this.
