Main Responsibilities:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Carpentry Instructor to join our team at m2r Education. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences to students across a range of programmes.

Key Duties:
  • Design and deliver inspirational teaching sessions that cater to learners with diverse ages and abilities.
  • Develop and maintain teaching materials, including handouts, assignments, and electronic resources, to support student learning.
  • Prepare and implement Schemes of Work and Schemes of Assessment to ensure effective programme delivery.
  • Undertake administrative tasks to support the smooth operation of programmes.
  • Conduct moderation and assessment activities to ensure high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to integrate Maths and English into the vocational curriculum.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of a Level 2 vocational qualification in Site Carpentry.
  • Recent experience of lecturing or training others in the workplace.
  • Substantial and relevant industrial experience in the construction sector.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
  • Current Health and Safety knowledge for the industry.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
