Lead Educator for Resuscitation Services

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Educator for Resuscitation Services to join our team at Great Ormond Street Hospital. As a key member of our Resuscitation team, you will be responsible for delivering paediatric resuscitation training programmes in line with Resuscitation Council UK guidelines, meeting specialist clinical staff requirements, Trust agreed targets and strategic objectives.
The successful candidate will have significant paediatric nursing experience in emergency medicine or ITU/HDU, with extensive experience in the management of paediatric Cardiopulmonary Arrests/Resuscitation quality initiatives. You will also have a proven ability to develop staff through mentoring and supervision, including the support of Professional nurse Advocacy Programme.

Main Duties of the Job- Deliver paediatric resuscitation training programmes in line with Resuscitation Council UK guidelines
- Meet specialist clinical staff requirements, Trust agreed targets and strategic objectives
- Develop and implement resuscitation education and training programmes
- Collaborate with the Heads of Resuscitation services and key stakeholders within the Trust
- Identify and develop resuscitation improvement strategies to enhance all aspects of resuscitation education and clinical skills
- Lead on quality, governance, standards of care, clinical audit, benchmarking, performance standards
- Contribute to the development of the Trust Strategy for Nursing and the wider GOSH learning Academy ambition
- NMC Registered Nurse
- Instructor for Paediatric Advanced Life Support courses
- Evidence of continuing professional development within resuscitation
- Evidence of current Revalidation with NMC
- Relevant Master's degree (working towards) or equivalent experience
- Experience of debriefing training/PEERS training
- Evidence of valid Resuscitation Teaching qualification (GIC)
