**Job Summary**

Temp Station Ltd is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Customs Clearance Specialist to join our team in Normanton. As a key member of our freight forwarding department, you will be responsible for coordinating the import and export of products and components in and out of the UK, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Coordinate customs clearance operations, liaising with international operators to ensure timely and cost-effective transportation.
  • Update internal customs systems and request/export necessary documentation, such as customs invoices and certificates of origin.
  • Clear goods through customs using provided paperwork and calculate duty and tariff payments owed on shipments.
  • Advise internal operators on import and export restrictions, tariff systems, insurance requirements, quotas, and other customs-related matters.
  • Maintain proactive inter-departmental coordination to process shipments on time and attend to queries and updates.
  • Invoice internally for custom-processed shipments and keep records of shipments with issues.
  • Ensure internal operators comply with customs clearance procedures and escalate any internal issues to managers.
  • Liaise with external operators/customs and use Destin8 to claim trailers and renominate UCNs.
  • Create IPAFF documents and HMRC amendment forms as required.

**Requirements:**

  • Ability to work under pressure and cope during high-volume peaks.
  • Good team player with ability to work on individual tasks.
  • Ambitious with a view to progress within the company.
