In September 2023, the NRLA expanded its services by acquiring Safe2, a leading provider of comprehensive property safety certifications. This acquisition enables us to offer landlords a streamlined compliance service for gas, electrical safety, and energy performance certifications.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is £28,000 - £30,000 per annum. Our team members typically work remotely for up to four days a week, with one day designated for office collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

Event Planning and Execution

  • Assist in the organization of large-scale events, including the Annual Conference and Awards Ceremony, overseeing all operational aspects from conception to execution.
  • Lead the execution of a diverse range of NRLA events, such as webinars and regional gatherings.
  • Manage day-to-day operations for assigned events, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgetary constraints.
  • Source and secure both internal and external speakers, providing necessary briefings and support.
  • Collaborate with venues to ensure all NRLA requirements are met, including catering and health and safety standards.
  • Coordinate with the Head of Events & Awards and other departments to prepare pre-event materials and briefings.
  • Work alongside the Policy team to develop engaging and relevant event agendas.
  • Support the Commercial team in promoting exhibition space at events.
  • Collaborate with the Innovation team to finalize specific agenda items for each event.
  • Ensure effective marketing of events, crafting compelling content for invitations and online listings to attract attendees.
  • Provide detailed reporting on key performance indicators for events, contributing to comprehensive post-event evaluations.
  • Support regional administrators in managing a small portfolio of geographically focused networks and events.

General Responsibilities

  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the NRLA's Event Strategy and its external influences.
  • Collaborate with the regional events team on various projects, sharing insights and providing support as needed.
  • Regularly provide financial and event data for reporting purposes.
  • Attend and assist at events across the UK as required.

Candidate Profile

Knowledge and Experience

  • Demonstrated understanding or experience in event management within a business context.
  • Proven experience in supporting and executing complex events.
  • Familiarity with CRM or Customer Service Systems.
  • Experience in budget management and negotiation.
  • Proficient in IT, particularly with MS Office applications.
