We're looking for an analytical, self-motivated Principal Consultant focused on Retail Planning to join our Professional Services team. This role will focus on BOARD's Retail industry segment in the UK.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead complex transformation projects, ensuring successful delivery of projects for Retail Planning Solutions.
  • Provide technical and functional guidance to project teams to ensure the successful implementation.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their business needs and requirements, and design solutions that meet their needs.
  • Manage client relationships, build trust and credibility, and serve as a trusted advisor to clients.
  • Acquire and maintain deep knowledge and skills of BOARD products and technologies.
  • Assist in business development activities, including proposal writing and presenting to clients.
  • Assist the Board Pre-sales Team during the preparation of a Proof of Concept (POC) and product demonstrations.
  • Stay current on emerging trends and technologies in BI/CPM and retail planning; and share that knowledge and insights with clients and colleagues.
  • Contribute to thought leadership and best practices development, including the creation of whitepapers, presentations, and other content to showcase our expertise within the retail industry.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on Retail planning processes with internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in Retail Transformations.
  • BS/BA/Masters degree in Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics or equivalent field.
  • Proven subject matter expert in at least one of the following areas: merchandise planning, Supply Planning, Optimization, S&OP.
  • Experience in relational databases and data modelling is preferable.
  • Experience with systems like Anaplan, Oracle Retail Suite, O9, Aptos/TXT, IP, Centric is preferable.
  • Ability to demonstrate thought leadership and develop credibility with prospects and existing customers as a trusted-advisor in the planning space.
  • Able to work against very tight target dates in a dynamic environment.
  • PM certifications such as PRINCE2, PMI/PMP, SCRUM will be considered a plus.
  • Ability to travel approximately 50%.
