Operations Director Role

Our client, a dynamic company specializing in FMCG, is seeking an Operations Director to oversee operational performance, drive financial success, and support strategic decision-making to foster business growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operations Management: Oversee the operations of warehouses in both the UK and the Netherlands, ensuring optimal inventory management, order fulfilment, and logistics.
  • Supply Chain Optimisation: Develop and implement strategies to optimize the supply chain, reduce costs, and improve efficiency.
  • Vendor and Supplier Relations: Manage relationships with key vendors and suppliers to ensure reliable supply and cost-effective procurement.
  • Compliance: Ensure all operations comply with relevant regulations and standards in both the UK and the Netherlands.
  • Quality Control: Establish and maintain robust quality control processes for our dancewear products.
Strategic Leadership
  • Business Strategy: Collaborate with the executive team to develop and implement business strategies that drive growth and profitability.
  • Performance Monitoring: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor operational and financial performance, making data-driven decisions to improve outcomes.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the operations team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate operational and financial risks, ensuring the stability and sustainability of the business.
IT & Systems
  • ERP System Management: Lead the complete implementation and optimization of Sage X3 across all operational areas, ensuring system stability and integration with all endpoints.
Human Resources
  • HR Oversight: Serve as the official Human Resources representative for the Norwich office, ensuring compliance at all levels, conflict resolution, and oversight of vacation and sickness policies.
  • Extensive experience with Sage X3 ERP system implementation and management (required).
  • Strong background in supply chain management, logistics, and warehousing.
  • Experience in quality control processes.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field.

  • Successfully complete the Sage X3 implementation, fully leveraging its capabilities across all operational areas.
  • Significantly reduce manual processes, increasing overall operational efficiency.
