Key Responsibilities

The Research Coordination Officer will play a crucial role in supporting the cutting-edge science of the John Innes Centre. This includes:

  • Providing expert knowledge on national and international funding schemes
  • Undertaking horizon scanning activities to identify potential funding opportunities
  • Working with scientific staff to develop and initiate proposals
  • Supporting the JIC internal review process
  • Collaborating with colleagues across JIC and NBIP Research Grants & Contracts
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Significant experience of working in a research institute or similar academic environment
  • Broad scientific awareness across subjects and disciplines relevant to the work of JIC
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills with demonstrated ability to effectively manage competing priorities/deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
