Job Description

Job Title: Clinical Risk and Safety Incident Coordinator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Risk and Safety Incident Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the clinical service lines to ensure that incidents resulting in moderate and above harm to patients, or meeting Trust or National Priorities, have a robust SMART action plan in place.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with clinical service lines to develop and implement SMART action plans for incidents resulting in moderate and above harm to patients.
  • Support the sharing and learning of reportable events, particularly those with themes that can be shared to improve safety across the organization.
  • Collaborate with the Clinical Risk and Safety Lead and Clinical Risk and Investigations Manager to conduct reviews of incidents, including those using a System Engineering Initiative for Patient Safety (SEIPS) approach.
  • Support the development and implementation of processes to facilitate the sharing of learning from patient safety incidents across the organization.

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of patient safety and risk management principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with clinical and non-clinical teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Working Arrangements:

This is a full-time position, and the successful candidate will be required to work within the NHS Jobs framework.
