Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the production department.
  • Improve operational management systems, processes, and best practices.
  • Plan and monitor the day-to-day running of the business to ensure smooth progress.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures.
  • Oversee quality control, safety, and monitor production KPIs.
  • Collaborate with Plant Manager and site Engineers on Continuous Improvement initiatives and strategies.
  • Recruit, train, supervise, and appraise team and department managers.
  • Formulate strategic and operational objectives.
  • Examine financial data and use them to improve profitability.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in the FMCG industry, specifically in an Engineering & Manufacturing role.
  • Excellent knowledge of production management and quality standards.
  • Strong ability to interpret financial data.
  • Great team leadership skills.
  • Working knowledge of performance evaluation metrics.
  • Oversaw teams of 200+ people with two layers.
  • Degree in Business Administration, Industrial Management, Engineering, or a related field.
What We Offer
  • A competitive salary range of £70,000 - £90,000 per year.
  • 20% Discretionary Performance Bonus.
  • 25 days holiday, increasing each year with service to a maximum of 30 days.
  • Birthday holiday non-contractual.
