About the Role:


We are seeking an experienced High-Precision CNC Machinist to join our production team at Classic Car Specialist, an international racing, classic, and motorsport automotive specialist. As a CNC Machinist, you will play a critical role in the production of high-precision components used in automotive restoration, maintenance, and customization.


Key Responsibilities:


Program, set, and operate a Haas CNC 4-axis turning centre to produce both simple and complex components in short batches to precise tolerances.


Quality assurance: Inspect work at the machine, approve initial pieces, and ensure consistent quality throughout the batch.


Program creation and maintenance: Develop and validate programs using Haas NextGen control, identify tooling requirements, and manage maintenance and calibration issues effectively.


Versatile machinery operation: Operate additional production machinery as needed, with training and guidance provided for optimal performance.


Manual machinery use: Utilize manual machinery for secondary operations or fixturing as required, ensuring flexibility in production tasks.


Workplace safety: Maintain a clean and safe working environment, strictly adhering to Health and Safety regulations and promoting safe working practices.


General workshop duties: Perform various workshop tasks, including unloading, storing, and cutting materials, as well as deburring and hand finishing components when necessary.


Requirements:


CNC programming, setting, and operator experience


Strong organisational and prioritisation skills


Proactive attitude with the ability to take initiative and ownership of issues


Solidworks software experience


Automotive experience with a minimum of 2-3 years' experience in a similar role
