Sub-Editor - Business Intelligence

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sub-Editor to join our Content Team at William Reed. As a Sub-Editor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and clarity of our written content, working across editorial and commercial content, including digital news, features, analysis, insight, and reports across various sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Subbing and production of news, features, analysis, opinion, and special reports on retail;
- Collaborating with editors, reporters, and marketers to ensure high-quality content;
- Crafting headlines and standfirsts to engage our audience;
- Subbing marketing material for reports and events;
- Liaising with internal stakeholders to ensure consistency in tone and style;
- Attending and contributing to editorial meetings;
- Standing in for the production editor when necessary;
- Creating and updating charts and graphs for reports and articles on an ad hoc basis;
Requirements
- Previous experience working in a fast-paced editorial environment;
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills;
- Experience working with content management systems, such as Webvision, Shorthand, or WordPress;
- Experience sending email newsletters and creating engaging content;
- Good knowledge of media law and industry standards;
- Experience with Adobe CC suite and data visualization tools is desirable but not essential;
