Job Title: Senior Field Technician

This role is part of the UTAC Special Vehicles UK Team, responsible for delivering project work and providing global service and maintenance capability. As a Senior Technician, you will support various projects in the development and build of prototype vehicles, as well as series production activity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct support, inspection, maintenance, and repair activity of Special Vehicles products worldwide.
  • Diagnose complex vehicle mechanical and electrical faults at component and harness/wiring level.
  • Lead the strip, modification, and build of vehicles for bespoke in-vehicle electrical, mechanical, and structural systems.
  • Produce reports to record inspection, maintenance, and repair activity.
  • Focus on continuous improvement, working with engineering and production leadership teams to improve efficiency and quality.

Requirements:

  • Broad knowledge of maintenance processes, policies, capabilities, practices, support resources, and other elements required to effectively represent the business overseas.
  • Experience conducting maintenance operations and inspections in an MoD Equipment Support environment is beneficial.
  • MOT tester certified or equivalent.
  • Flexible and adaptable to new situations.
  • MS Office literate.
  • Full UK driving license including C1 classification.
