ROLE SUMMARY
The Finishing Technician reports directly to the Production Supervisor and is accountable for the streamlined and effective operations within their assigned area.

The Finishing department encompasses a variety of essential tasks, including deburring, dressing, polishing, blasting, laser marking, and the assembly of Orthopaedic Instruments and Implants.

Materials frequently processed include Stainless Steel, Titanium, Aluminium, and Plastics.


ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following tasks, with additional duties assigned as per business requirements:


  • Performing deburring and dressing operations
  • Executing polishing tasks
  • Conducting blasting procedures
  • Applying paint finishes
  • Laser marking products accurately
  • Assembling components and ensuring all parts meet the highest standards and function as intended
  • Meeting production targets
  • Ensuring efficient workflow in and out of the section
  • Maintaining a safe working environment
  • Practicing good housekeeping in the work area
  • Carrying out scheduled maintenance on section equipment
  • Upholding quality standards and compliance with work processes
  • Adhering to the Company's Quality Assurance policies
  • Performing ad hoc tasks as required

GENERAL GUIDELINES

  • Exhibit a cooperative attitude towards all team members, promoting positive working relationships
  • Pay special attention to colleagues within the section and other sections as directed by Management
  • Demonstrate punctuality
  • Maintain effective working practices
  • Comply with Company policies, including but not limited to, eating and drinking regulations, mobile phone and IT equipment usage
  • Implement relevant Health & Safety policies within the section
  • Monitor equipment performance and identify maintenance needs, reporting to management as necessary

COMPANY BENEFITS

  • Break time - 1⁄2 hour lunch break (1⁄4 hour breakfast break for early starters)
  • Shift Allowance - 2nd Shift: x0.25 / Night Shift: x0.33
  • Overtime Rate - Mon-Sat: x0.5 / Sun: Double-time
  • Company Bonus - Dependent on Company output and performance
  • Holiday Allowance - 26 Days + 8 Statutory (Total of 34 Days per Year)
  • Pension Plan - Company contributes 3% / Employee contributes 5% (Auto-enrollment, opt-out available)
