About the Role
As a Senior Health & Safety Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring a safe and secure environment for our students, staff, and visitors across our campuses. You will lead the implementation and maintenance of health and safety policies, procedures, and initiatives, promoting a culture of awareness and compliance.
Your Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive health and safety programs aligned with industry best practices and legal requirements.
- Conduct regular risk assessments, inspections, audits, and investigations to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance.
- Provide training and guidance to staff and students on health and safety protocols, emergency procedures, and safe work practices.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including building maintenance and technical services, to address safety concerns and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate records of health and safety incidents, investigations, and training activities.
- Stay informed about evolving health and safety legislation and industry standards.
Your Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a health and safety management role within an educational or similar environment.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation, regulations, and standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and mitigate risks effectively.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and training skills.
- IOSH qualification or equivalent.
