Job Description

We are seeking a skilled senior medical writer to join our team as a Senior Medical Content Strategist. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in shaping our scientific strategy and driving impactful projects that make a difference in healthcare.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop high-quality, engaging, and scientifically accurate content for a wide range of deliverables, including reports, articles, and presentations.
  • Lead designated projects and provide support for junior writers, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality output.
  • Collaborate with the Associate Creative Director (Copy) to build our scientific strategy offering and manage project outcomes.
  • Provide high-level scientific advice and guidance to clients and collaborate with the accounts team to build and advance business partnerships.
  • Drive forward ideas, concepts, and suggestions to provide added value to projects and contribute to the growth of our business.
  • Ensure editorial control processes and industry regulations standards are met, maintaining the highest level of quality and integrity.
  • Represent the agency as an ambassador, demonstrating our values and contributing to the culture of the wider team.
Requirements:
  • Expertise in multiple therapeutic areas, including oncology, immunology, gastroenterology, haematology, and dermatology.
  • Ability to interpret scientific data and combine medical communication skills with creative thinking to conceive and write content across a wide range of assets.
  • Quick learning ability and good understanding of marketing strategy.
  • Ability to guide development of channel-, message-, and tone-appropriate copy for all audiences and media types.
  • Expertise in supporting the client pitch process by providing knowledge, insights, and advice.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Good attention to detail and ability to integrate core editorial processes and best-writing principles within team projects.
  • Competent and confident working both autonomously and collaboratively across teams.
  • Previous line management experience, with ability to mentor, coach, and provide feedback to fellow writers.
Requirements:
  • A strong degree in a scientific or medical field.
  • Significant experience within a medical writing role.
