About the Role:
  • Act as the IT authority in defining, managing, and delivering essential IT software solutions for ENGIE Supply UK, while enhancing performance across our Salesforce ecosystem.
  • The Senior IT Product Strategist's mission is to optimize the value derived from ENGIE Supply UK's solutions, ensuring solution health, managing the implementation of changes, regulatory initiatives, and guiding users on the optimal utilization of solutions to meet business goals.
  • This role will primarily focus on designated solutions but may extend to other applications within the ENGIE Supply landscape as business needs or regulatory requirements dictate.
  • The position is both technical and interpersonal, emphasizing product integrity, collaboration with internal departments, and fostering relationships with external partners. The role will liaise with IT development and testing teams as well as business stakeholders to ensure that products fulfill user requirements and align with business objectives.
  • The Senior IT Product Strategist will be responsible for knowledge sharing across the organization regarding the owned solution and for mentoring team members.
  • Strategic direction for the product will be provided, translating business strategies to ensure alignment of product goals with user needs and corporate objectives. The Senior Product Strategist will stay informed about market trends, alternative products, and competitor strategies to guide product direction and maintain competitive market positioning.
Key Responsibilities:

Responsibilities of the Senior Product Strategist encompass the entire product lifecycle, including gathering feature requests, scheduling releases, and coordinating sprints. Success in this role requires the ability to identify user needs and collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage product releases.
  • Plan and implement changes within the framework of Business Transformation.
  • Organize and prioritize backlogs, contributing to dependency tracking.
  • Direct, lead, and manage the following functions related to the owned product:
  • BI Development (data ingestion and storage into the Common Data Hub).
  • Provide best practice frameworks, metrics, and tools that facilitate efficient solution change delivery, maintenance, and support tasks.
  • Research, propose, and implement changes in workflows to align with Energy Supply objectives.
  • Monitor industry changes and their implications for the owned product.
  • Contribute to the IT application roadmap and identify technical roles necessary for maintaining industry compliance.
  • Manage the costs associated with tools and technologies utilized by the directed teams.
  • Maintain performance metrics for the team and solution under management, such as velocity, time to market, and quality.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience with Salesforce platforms, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Experience Cloud, Salesforce Industries, Mulesoft, or Data Cloud, with familiarity in the Salesforce Ecosystem.
  • Experience in managing software solutions within the Energy Industry as a Product Owner, particularly in Billing solutions and Customer Relationship Management systems for the UK energy market.
  • 5 years of leadership experience in an IT environment, demonstrating strong capabilities in managing and developing software delivery and development teams across various industry participants.
  • Practical experience in architecting and maintaining a product roadmap and strategy that integrates regulatory and business improvement changes.
  • Proven track record of delivering outcomes from both project and support activities simultaneously.
  • Exposure to strategic planning and resource management.
  • Experience in assurance and governance of solutions and delivery.
  • Experience managing external stakeholders.
  • Ability to research and innovate in capability, workflows, and technology.
  • Familiarity with the challenges of operating within matrix management structures is preferred.
  • Previous roles should include aspects of financial management, such as budget setting and expenditure tracking.
Qualifications:
  • Salesforce Administrator certification, with progress towards Developer, Architect, or Consultant certifications.
  • Trail Head rank of Mountaineer as a minimum.
  • Certifications in IT delivery methodologies (e.g., Agile, SAFe, MoR, Project & Programme management).
  • Experience with software delivery lifecycle management tools, such as Atlassian Suite and Dev Ops.
  • A degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field or significant related experience is expected but not mandatory.
