Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to support the compliance team at Jameson Legal, a boutique law firm. In this role, the successful applicant will assist the compliance team in managing the workload across a broad range of matters and be involved in a diverse range of tasks that ensure the firm practices within the regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Compliance Support: Assist the team in ensuring legal compliance and upholding the professional standards of the firm.
  2. Complaint Handling: Handle complaints, liaise with clients and colleagues to investigate and prepare reports on matters.
  3. Data Protection: Assist with data protection compliance, including support with DSARS.
  4. Ad-Hoc Queries: Respond to ad-hoc queries from staff on issues such as AML, sanctions, confidentiality, and conflicts of interest.
  5. Insurance Renewal: Support the renewal of PI insurance.
  6. Accreditation Maintenance: Maintain accreditations such as Lexcel, Customer Service Excellence and Conveyancing Quality Standard amongst others the firm has obtained.
Desirable Experience:
  1. Previous work in a law firm is beneficial.
  2. Familiarity with regulatory matters and bodies such as the SRA is advantageous.
