About the Role of Class 1 Driver:

As a Class 1 Driver, you'll play a vital role in our efficient delivery network. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Making multiple palletized deliveries and collections across the South West region.
  • Loading and unloading your vehicle with a focus on secure load management.
  • Planning daily routes to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.
  • Conducting thorough daily vehicle checks using our company system.
  • Collaborating closely with our network hubs to maintain smooth operations.
  • Communicating regularly with the transport team to keep them updated on your progress and manage customer expectations.
  • Actively participating in training sessions to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Key Skills for a Class 1 Driver:

  • A valid UK Class 1 (CE) Driving Licence is essential.
  • You must hold a current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
  • Experience in direct client site deliveries would be advantageous.
  • A commitment to providing exceptional customer service is crucial.
  • You should be deadline-oriented, a strong team player, and possess excellent geographical knowledge.
  • Physical fitness, flexibility, and self-motivation are essential for this role.
