About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Assistant Front Office Manager to join our team at Wilde Grassmarket Edinburgh. As a key member of our Front Office team, you will be responsible for supporting the Front Office Manager in leading our Reception and Food and Beverage team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Front Office Manager in ensuring the smooth operation of the front desk, breakfast, and bar area.
  • Welcome guests to the hotel in a friendly and professional manner, in accordance with our service standards.
  • Monitor and respond to guest feedback, resolving any issues or complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  • Supervise and motivate a team of direct reports, ensuring that they are equipped to provide exceptional guest service.
  • Anticipate and resolve any problems that may arise, ensuring that guests have a positive experience.
  • Deputize for the Front Office Manager in their absence, taking charge of the Front Office team and ensuring that the hotel runs smoothly.
  • Contribute to the development of our team, providing training and coaching to ensure that they are equipped to provide exceptional guest service.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong background in hospitality management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with guests and colleagues.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to self-organize, with a focus on delivering exceptional guest experiences.
  • Ability to manage teams and prioritize tasks, with a focus on achieving results.
  • Strong written and verbal English skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and colleagues.
