Purchasing Assistant Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Purchasing Assistant to join our team at IC8 Ltd. As a key member of our procurement team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Sales Team to determine purchasing needs and translate them into cost-effective solutions.
  • Obtain quotes for external products and provide material and equipment pricing to the Sales and Project teams.
  • Prepare and raise purchase orders using our ERP system and ensure timely delivery of stock and adherence to quality standards.
  • Build and maintain relationships with existing suppliers and identify and onboard new suppliers.
  • Manage our Contracts database and handle any additional ad hoc Purchasing tasks as needed.
Requirements:
  • Part-qualified CIPS or willingness to pursue qualifications.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a purchasing role.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and able to meet strict deadlines.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience in negotiation.
  • Familiarity with the HubSpot CRM system and ability to work effectively with staff across all levels.
  • Strong written, verbal, and listening communication skills and keen attention to detail.
